Post-perception era
In the context of digital trust and synthetic media, an era in which perception is no longer sufficient to distinguish what is authentic from what is fabricated, and verification becomes the structural alternative to assumed trust.

No contexto da confiança digital e dos media sintéticos, uma era em que a perceção deixa de ser suficiente para distinguir o autêntico do fabricado, e a verificação se torna a alternativa estrutural à confiança presumida.
Context
The phrase names a structural condition, not a movement or a mood. Throughout most of history, perception functioned as the operational substrate of trust: what one could see, hear, or read in a known hand was reasonably treated as evidence. That regime has been exhausted, not by a single technology but by the industrial scale at which generative systems now produce media indistinguishable, at the perceptual layer, from authentic record.
In the post-perception era, trust that can be assumed can be fabricated. Trust that can be verified cannot. The response is not better perception; perception cannot be repaired. The response is infrastructure: cryptographic anchoring, verifiable provenance, auditable trust as a layer external to the senses.
A expressão nomeia uma condição estrutural, não um movimento nem um estado de espírito. Durante a maior parte da história, a perceção funcionou como o substrato operacional da confiança: aquilo que se podia ver, ouvir ou ler numa caligrafia conhecida era razoavelmente tratado como prova. Esse regime esgotou-se, não por uma única tecnologia mas pela escala industrial a que os sistemas generativos produzem hoje media indistinguíveis, ao nível da perceção, do registo autêntico.
Na era pós-perceção, a confiança que pode ser presumida pode ser fabricada. A confiança que pode ser verificada não. A resposta não é melhor perceção; a perceção não se repara. A resposta é infraestrutura: ancoragem criptográfica, proveniência verificável, confiança auditável como camada externa aos sentidos.
